Top Ten Weight Loss Tips for the New Year. The list represents important ideas that come up time after time when members tell us about their weight loss success.

I will be letting you know the mistakes that fat people do when try trying to lose weight .

According to Us Dept of health, we are lead to believe that 95% of all the weight loss is regained and 96% of all weight loss attempt ends in failure

WHAT DOES THAT MEANS?

It means that less than one fat person in twenty succeeds when trying to lose weight.

Before going on ,I will like to classify the fat people into two :

The overweight
The obese , those people that I call dangerously overweight.

The overweight are 73 % while the obese are 26%. I am sure you know how alarming this issue is to the whole world , most especially United states.

What can we do to reverse this deadly trend ?

I think what can be done is to let people know the real fact about weight loss and I will start that by letting you to understand ten mistakes we make when trying to lose weight.

Going on diets

This point may come as a shock to people , but that’s number one fact you need to know . Dieting is a very bas way to lose weight because people tend to ignore all of the reasons why they are overweight in the first place.

The way to lose weight is to eat less , exercise more , but the truth is no one overeats because of physical hunger. Am I right? Yes I am because recent research shows me that , the real reason why people eat too much are totally has nothing to do with food…. What did I say? NOTHING . that is why no amount of you trying to deny yourself will make any kind of lasting difference . All it does is , it makes people to feel deprived , anxious and more depressed when the fail yet again.

It’s not about the food . it is about why people don’t stop eating the food , even when the physical hunger has been satisfied. Can you now agree with me that going on diet is not a solution at all and it won’t change anything at all.

Trying to avoid your favourite food

This is also just as much a waste of time as dieting . In fact , it’s a form of dieting . Since dieting can be defined for this purpose as any effort to control your body weight by controlling the volume or nature of food you take in at a particular time.

Don’t get me wrong , I am not saying that what you eat is not important . It is a fact that some food are better for you than others and it is also a fact that a proper amount of food you take in is healthier than too much or too little as well. But what I am trying to tell you is that you must shift your attention away from the food itself to the reason you eat too much .

As you that trying that trying to avoid the food you like the most just makes you want them the more . That’s the way it is with anything that feels like self-denial and that’s no way too live , that not life .

Diet pills

What a funny and fake solution , I think the dangerous practice is finally getting some of the publicity it deserves . Almost every week we now hear the news of ephedra , ma huang / etc More than 80 death and countless health problems have been directly linked to this natural stimulant .Yes we all want results and we want them fast , nobody agues with result . Yesterday will be nice . And therein lies much of our problem . We humans are not a patient bunch , we always expect to get everything we want at the touch of a button and we believe that whatever problems that cannot be solved with a button will be solved with pills . But it doesn’t work that way for real.

Making repeated attempt to lose weight

This is the most tragic consequence of diet industry approaches. With each failed weight loss attempt , it becomes more difficult to take off pounds . It’s called the YO-YO syndrome . Every time the weight goes down , it comes back up .

But unlike the YO-YO it wants to come up higher than the starting point. This can or will always lead to depression if you will agree with me . And it can even cause gaining of weight.

Trying to avoid fattening food in general

This is another approach that doesn’t work in real life because it like you’re constantly fighting your own desires. You are trying to impose your will on your own powerful desire.

But will is no match for your deep craving desires. It is a pure wasting of time to try to fight your own desire . The easy way to succeed with weight loss is to make changes in your personal programming .

The good news is that this is just easy and enjoyable

Fasting

If you’re originally not feeling hungry , if you are in good health and you have no unhealthy psychological issues motivating your decision to skip your meal , then it’s not a problem . But if you skip meal out of guilt , as part of food based weight control then you are making a big mistake .

You cannot rely on your own psyche to strike back at you , through your unconscious motivations. And whenever your conscious decisions ( like fasting and skipping meals ) conflict with your unconscious motivations ( like eating whatever meal and eating it whenever you want to), the unconscious motivating will win every time.

Using generic weight loss method

You need to understand the fact that you are different being to others , that’s why things that works for your fat neighbour will never work for you . your situation is unique and it needs a unique approach. So make sure that your approach to weight loss is no generic , but is targeted to your own personal situation.

Relying on will power

I was as surprised as anyone that not only does will power not produce weight loss, but most often lead to weight weight gain.. are you asking me why? Ok . now that we know self denial creates a psychic “backlash” it’s easier to understand why.

In truth will power is a fragile and fickle things –as anyone who ever relied on it knows only too well. In reality , will power is no power at all. It’s simply the process of trying to go at cross purposes to our own deep desires.

Write everything down. Even (or especially) on bad/splurge days. It’s only if you write things down that you know what you are doing. I’m not saying don’t have the Peking Duck. I am saying, at least know what having the Peking Duck means

Life is too short so build in treats! Ok my weight loss is nice and slow but I don’t feel like I am on a diet or that I am depriving myself of anything

Lose Weight USA- Exercise Tips

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

I’ll be honest with you, starting a weight loss program is not the easiest thing you’ll ever have to do.

In fact, for most people it’s extremely hard and takes a heap of dedication, sacrifice and agony.(But for others, weight loss just isn’t that hard. The fat melts off their body like butter - without much sacrifice on their part.

Do they have secrets that others don’t have, or is it just good genes?

In my opinion, it’s a mix of both. Today I’d like to share with you a few secrets that those people have that you may not know about.

Here are 3 of my top fat loss secrets that very few people know about:

It’s The Mix That Counts - Dieting alone will either produce lousy results or make you lose both fat and muscle, resulting in only a slight change in your body. Resistance training will help you gain muscle, but without changing your diet you won’t get much weight loss. However, put them together and a synergistic effect takes place, ramping your metabolism up to “high gear”, helping you lose fat while you maintain or even sometimes put on a little muscle. Realize that weight loss is not your goal - fat loss is your goal. Remember muscle weights more than fat.

Take It Up A Notch - Research has consistently shown that the old “traditional” way of doing cardio is not very effective. Instead of doing a slow exercise for 30-60 minutes, try going all-out for just 10-30 seconds followed by 30-60 seconds of rest (until your heart rate gets back to just above normal). This is called “high intensity interval training”. Doing this alone will turbocharge your fat loss and make incredible differences to your body in a very short time period. I personally love a rowing machine for cardio exercise.

Protein Is King - Without enough protein, you are not going to see much difference in your body. Protein has 2 very important jobs when it comes to fat loss. First, it helps you build extra muscle which shapes your body and helps hide your fat - making you look better even if you don’t lose any fat. Second, this extra muscle helps burn off more fat (the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn each day) which helps your muscles stand out on an even bigger level. This is one secret that very, very few people know about and even fewer truly understand.

There are dozens and dozens of weight loss tips and techniques out there, but if you take these 3 secrets and truly understand them, your fat loss efforts can easily double and you’ll lose more weight faster and easier than you ever have before.

Two-thirds of the United States is overweight right now. Do yourself a favour and don’t become part of the statistics. Believe me, it’s a bad statistic to be part of.

Weight loss might not be the easiest thing in the world, but you’ve just learned 3 extremely valuable secrets that will make it much easier for you. You’ll have much more success than 90% of the people you know just with these 3 easy to implement fat loss secrets you just learned.

Lose Weight USA - Planning

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

<P>
So you’re determined you need a weight loss program. But what? Losing weight is not in itself a behaviour. Releasing fat is an outcome of many behaviours that add up to consuming more calories than your expending. (Yes, theres a genetic component too, but you can’t change that.)
<P>
The good thing is that this gives you lots of places to start moving toward your <B>weight loss</B> goal. The challenge is sorting through them all and finding what will work best for you. So here is the question: What are you most ready to change?
<P>
Behavioural researchers have identified five stages in behaviour change:
<P>
1. Pre contemplation: You re not even considering it. No way AR you going to give up your pizza and beer. Gym-going is not for you. Why walk when you can ride?
<P>
2. Contemplation: Well, maybe you could live without pizza and beer *every* week. Gym is out, but you always liked swimming, maybe a pool. The walk in the park with your friend was pleasant last weekend, maybe you could do it again.
<P>
3. Preparation: Next week you’re going to skip that pizza. You found out the local Y has a pool and their family rates are affordable. You talked to your friend about doing more walks sometime.
<P>
4. Action: Two weeks and no pizza. You joined the Y and you’ve swum laps there a couple times. You and your friend have gone walking the past three Saturday mornings.
<P>
5. Maintenance: The weekly pizza has been a thing of the past for six months. Swimming is so much a part of your daily routine that you don’t feel right if you skip it. Those Saturday walks are don’t-miss tradition.
<P>
In fact, this readiness to change model is behaviour-specific. That is, you might be in the action stage with the pizza but still in pre contemplation on that exercise stuff. You re not likely to be very successful if you flog yourself for not swimming laps every day, what you want to do is move yourself to the next stage: List the pros and cons of regular exercise and guess what, you’re thinking about it and that means contemplation.
<P>
So think about the behaviours you can change create <B>weight loss</B>. What stage are you in for each of those behaviours? In each case, what can you do to move yourself to the next stage? What are you most ready to change.
<P>
The New Year is soon upon us and is the ideal time to put ideas into action

Lose Weight USA - Exercise Early

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Whatever weight loss program you follow, it should include physical activity and this is best done at the start of the day.

Why do in the morning? …

1. Training in the morning is the only way to guarantee that there will be no longer a set of exercises that accumulate from your schedule. When you get a busy day, the exercise usually takes a back seat!

2. When you do weight loss program early in the morning, then your metabolism will burn, sometimes up to 24 hours! That means you burn more calories all day long because you only be held in the morning!

3. When you do sports in the morning you will be energized for the day! Start your weight loss program in the morning for best results.

4. Many people find that the weight loss program in the morning help them “manage” their appetite for the next day … that they are not so hungry and male better food choices.

5. If you do weight loss program at the same time every morning, your body’s endocrine system and circadian rhythms adjust to that, and physiologically, some beautiful things happen; Several hours before you wake up, your body starts to prepare vigilant and exercise because ” know many things that will happen … why? because “know” you do the same, only a day-to-day. you get the benefit of several ways in which to do in the morning, for example hormone prepare your body to lose weight with the program set all things related to the metabolism of body such as circulation, etc.

6. For many people, weight loss programs do the appointed time every morning to become something they hope. Now they have devoted time to do something good for yourself … to fix their body and mind. Many find that a lot of time to think clearly, pray, plan their day, or just relax mentally.

7. Research has shown that weight loss programs to improve mental acuity … average that lasts four to ten hours after exercise! There is no sense in the tiring when you are sleeping.

8. If you find it difficult to make time for your weight loss program get up earlier, anyone can get up to 30 to 60 minutes prior to training (if it is a priority in your life). If necessary, you can go to sleep a little earlier. In addition, research has shown that people who do weight loss programs regularly have the quality of sleep that so higher need sleep.

Weight Loss Workouts

Initially, we need to address the major conviction of structuring your workouts. In order to rouse fat-loss, particularly from your stomach, you need to stop wasting so much of your time doing useless crunches and in the hopes of “spot-reducing” your abdominal fat.

Spot-reduction does not occur because fat loss and weight loss occur from the body as a whole. Your body is not able of selecting where it would like to burn fat from.

You can never lose fat from your stomach by exercising that area alone. You must do something much more capable of burning fat from the entire body and that’s what we will discuss next!

Now, don’t be put off by my bashing on ab exercises. I still believe ab exercises are an important addition to any workout. The point I would like you to run with is that ab exercises are great for strengthening the core area; however, they will not make you burn the most calories for your buck!

As an alternative, I like to focus on what I call the after-burn effect. You see, if you use multi-joint exercises like presses, pulls, and lunges, you will actually end up burning more fat from your stomach than by using ab exercises!

After hearing some of the trash that’s out there, I’m sure it may be tricky for you to imagine this but these types of exercises enhance your body’s metabolic rate like crazy for up to 72 hours after you’ve worked out! So truly, it’s almost like you’re working out non-stop!

If you do a strong workout consisting of these multi-joint exercises, you will gather an incredible benefit. During this 48-72 hour post exercise period your body will in fact be flooded with fat-burning and muscle building hormones!

So, how do you do it? How do you achieve this sudden large amount of fat-burning hormones? Easy, you use exercises like squats, lunges, dead lifts, presses, pulls, and your favourite ab exercises together. On the other hand, your main concern is placed on the exercises that are stronger and require more attention.

This boils down to taking negligible rest periods. You go to the gym for a work out not to gossip.

Second, we need to eat for fat burning. Your nutrition factually has the power to make you burn fat. Of coarse, the exact opposite is true, food can also be the cause of your fat gain just as easily. The key is to use science in your errand to determine which foods should be eaten to achieve your fat loss.

By following the suggestions of fad diets you will in fact keep yourself from burning fat. Imagine that. The very thing that all of the fad diets argue to cure, they actually aid! If you follow the advice of the low-carb diets, soup diets, amazon diets, low-fat diets, and calorie ratio diets, you will only end up gaining fat because they do not know the science behind fat loss.

The fact is that none of the fad diets really talk about the simple science behind fat burning. It actually is very simple because it depends on your body’s hormonal balance being at a specific level. Very basically, if your body doesn’t reach that hormone balance, you don’t burn fat.

When you commence to move away from the fad diets and in the direction of a practical fat burning program you will find that becoming leaner happens mechanically. It has to become lean if your hormones are in their appropriate levels because hormones have the master key to this process!

To be very precise the secret to fat loss is very simple. Eat foods and workout using exercises that increase your body’s fat burning hormone levels, while preventing your “fat adding hormones”. It’s actually very simple, with a basic cause and effect outline to it. One key to bear in mind, stay positive about your weight loss goals and remind yourself to take it one day at a time!

Weigth Loss

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Women love to diet. At any give time, one of three women are on a diet. Yet more women are overweight than ever and a disturbing new study shows that binge eating is the most widespread eating disorder in the United States, surpassing bulimia and anorexia. Surely, there has to be a connection between food deprivation diets and the rate of increase in binge eating.

Many people binge eat after following a fad weight loss diet that controlled what food groups they can consume. These “forbidden foods” become an obsession, and you start over-indulging in all the foods you have been deprived of during the diet. In a few short months, the pounds you lost come back and you are stuck with an unhealthy new eating habit to boot.

Maybe there is something wrong in the way we are trying to lose weight? Since most eating disorders affect far more women than men, there is really a cause for concern. Women need to re-examine the way they attempt to lose weight and the ultimate cost on their health and bodies.

Although it sounds unfashionable compared to the latest fad diets out there, the best weight loss diet for women that ensures permanent results is one on which healthy portions from various food groups is allowed. A plan like this will ensure healthy weight loss without causing undue stress on the body. Women also need to keep in mind that fad diets are aging. This is because fad diets put your body under stress and also deprive you of nutrients you need to keep your skin, nails and hair healthy.

By following a healthy eating plan, you will not only gain an enviable figure, but will also look younger, have less wrinkles, strong nails and healthy hair. Along with healthy eating habits, the right exercise program for women will allow you will feel more relaxed and more confident in yourself. You will also sleep better allowing your body to repair and restore your body and skin. It is not called beauty sleep for nothing.

The next time you come across a new weight loss diet that promises 10 lbs in 10 days ask yourself if it is worth risking your health and complexion to try something that sounds unhealthy anyway. You did not gain all your weight in a week. Why would you expect to lose it all in a week? Also remember that going on a fad diet could cause you to learn unhealthy eating habits and leave you feeling stressed and obsessed.

Stop obsessing over weight loss. Learn about healthy eating and start living better today. Weight loss will happen automatically along with the side effects of better self esteem, peace of mind and healthy skin, hair and nails.

Lose Weight USA - Tips

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Before you pledge allegiance to a particular diet plan, take heed. More often than not, weight lost through dieting finds its way back into your body.

But the news is not all bad: While prevailing lore states that 95% of people who lose weight regain it within a few months or years, recent research shows that roughly 20% of overweight people successfully manage to keep the pounds from coming back on.

Still, that’s a low success rate, and it underscores the inherent flaw of the dieting mentality — which seeks a quick, often drastic fix for habits that were years in the making.

So, what is the best approach to long-term weight loss? Rather than counting every calorie or scratching entire food groups from your diet, make healthful eating — along with fitness and stress reduction — a part of your daily lifestyle.

By thinking of weight loss not as a primary goal but rather as a by-product of making important health choices, you are on your way to addressing the underlying causes of weight gain — not merely the symptoms.

Healthful diet
Both American Eastern Institute and food journalist Michael Pollan succinctly advised in a recent New York Times article: “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.”

These 3 points form the basis of a healthful diet:

1. Eat food. “If it’s something your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognize,” says Mark Hyman, M.D., author of UltraMetabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss (Scribner, 2006), “you probably shouldn’t eat it.” Choose whole fresh foods rather than processed food products. In other words, don’t just avoid processed and refined white bread, but also limit enriched whole wheat bread, which is loaded with processed nutrients and preservatives. Fresh whole grain bread straight from the bakery would be better, while a dish of cooked wheat berries would be even more nutritious. The greater amount of food you eat that is whole and unmodified (rather than being a food product), the more healthful (and — believe it or not — satisfying) your diet will be.

2. Not too much. There’s no getting around that one of the most healthful and effective techniques for weight loss is moderate calorie restriction. Since weight loss boils down to consuming fewer calories than you burn, portion control is a non-negotiable element. To safely lose weight, shoot for a deficit of 250 to 500 calories per day — anything greater could leave you very hungry and more vulnerable to impulsive indulgences with bad-for-you food.

Tip: Restricting the number of calories is one of the most difficult requirements to weight loss. Try substituting quality for quantity. You may find that by choosing organic whole foods, you’ll need less to feel satiated.

3. Mostly plants. Vegetables should make up the largest portion of your diet, as the antioxidants in fresh produce have a powerful effect against the free radicals in our bodies. Also, since vegetables (especially leafy ones) are low in carbohydrates, eating a plant-based diet translates into fewer calories overall. Remember, variety not only adds spice but longevity, too. As omnivores, we require a certain amount of complexity in our diet in order to stay healthy. Include as many different colours and varieties of fruits and vegetables in your diet as you can.

Proper hydration

Don’t underestimate the importance of drinking water for weight loss. Sufficient water intake is crucial for you to achieve optimal digestion, absorption, circulation and waste excretion.

Depending on how much produce you eat, the climate you live in and how much you exercise, you should be drinking an average of 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. Remember that fruit juice, tea, coffee and sodas don’t count as water.

We often misinterpret thirst as hunger — which throws off our natural appetite cues. By staying properly hydrated throughout the day, you will deter false hunger pangs and be able to more easily discern your true hunger levels. Another bonus? Staying hydrated fights fatigue, giving you more energy to stick with your exercise plan.

Tip: Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go so that you have no excuse for getting parched.

Natural supplements
While your focus should be on getting nutrition from whole foods rather than relying on supplements, ensuring basic nutritional support through a few well-chosen supplements is a reasonable backup. Begin with a high-quality multivitamin and mineral combination, and choose a brand that doesn’t contain fillers, binders, colorings agents, gluten or lactose.

For natural compounds that may speed up weight loss, consider calcium, chromium and green tea supplements. While it is unclear how effective these supplements may be in enhancing weight loss, they have few known risks and some potential benefits. Nonetheless, it is not standard medical practice to recommend them.

Calcium (400 to 500 milligrams daily) may play a role in weight control by regulating energy metabolism. Chromium (400 micrograms daily) appears to improve insulin function and blood sugar control — which may make weight control easier. The caffeine and antioxidant catechins in green tea can help enhance calorie burning by increasing thermogenesis (the production of heat in cells). You can either drink several cups a day or take it in capsule form (anywhere from 250 to 500 milligrams daily)

Tip: Taking your vitamins and supplements (either with a meal or just before) may reduce stomach upset.

Stress reduction
Stress and weight gain are closely related. Stress can cause your adrenal glands to release adrenaline and cortisol into your bloodstream, which in turn can cause the body to conserve fat.

Chronic stress throws your metabolism out of whack and can lead to weight gain regardless of calorie intake. Cortisol (the stress hormone) makes your body less sensitive to other hormones — most notably to leptin, the hormone that tells your brain when you are full.

There are other factors at work (i.e., the fact that people turn to food to comfort themselves in times of stress).

Relaxation, experts say, is the best defence against stress. “When someone learns how to consciously acknowledge the presence of stress, he can then make a deliberate choice in how he’ll react to it,” says Steven Gurgevich, Ph.D., author of The Self-Hypnosis Diet: Use the Power of Your Mind to Make Any Diet Work for You (Sounds True, 2007). “Instead of ‘emotional eating,’ they can take a brisk walk, do something productive or use an active or passive relaxation technique.”

Tip: Meditation, yoga, prayer, baths, music, tai chi, hypnosis and breathing exercises all may induce the relaxation response.

Fitness

For people who are more than moderately overweight, exercise can be daunting (at best) and even physically excruciating due to the pressure your weight puts on your joints. But you have to start somewhere: Wendy McClure, a fitness consultant and trainer listed by Men’s Journal as one of America’s 100 Best Trainers, says very heavy people should not jump into an exercise boot camp.

“I often suggest beginning with classes in a pool, because they can move freely in the water for a long period of time without joint problems,” she says.

Walking is another excellent way to launch an exercise program. Walking as little as 15 minutes a day could significantly improve your health. The more out of shape you are, the more fitness gains you will experience early on.

Use a pedometer — available for as little as $10 — and slowly build up to 10,000 steps a day (about 4 to 5 miles). Studies show that this level of activity can reduce blood pressure, significantly increase calorie burn and improve cardio fitness (again, particularly in people who are less fit to begin with).

No matter your baseline fitness level, choose activities you enjoy (ice skating, rock climbing, square dancing), and do them with people you like. Many studies show that people are more likely to stick with an exercise program if they have an activity buddy —the commitment drives people to show up even on days when their motivation is low.

Also, don’t be a fair-weather friend to exercise. “A consistent routine of exercising each day… shows the best and most successful results,” McClure says. It is healthier — and safer — to exercise for 20 to 30 minutes a day on most days than to procrastinate all week and try to punish yourself for 2 hours on a Saturday.

Success with a natural weight loss approach doesn’t equal quick results. By introducing long-term and lasting changes instead of drastic, unsustainable ones, you may lose weight more slowly — perhaps only a pound a week. Still, the more gradual the loss is, the more likely that the pounds will be gone for good.

Lose Weight USA - SAD Facts

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

This is a reprint from recent weight loss article by Dr. Jeffrey S. McCombs

As our country deals with the effects of past deregulation and the current financial crisis, I am struck by how America has also become deregulated in the area of its dietary choices and the resultant health crisis that is developing as a result. Sound dietary practices have been dismantled and replaced by eating whenever, whatever, and however it suits us in the moment. Common sense management of our food choices has been neglected in favour of fad diet fixes and Flintstone vitamins.

The wisdom of the body as a temple that needs to be cherished and cared for has been replaced by the philosophy of the body as an amusement park and I’ve got a season pass.

It’s no mistake that the acronym for the Standard American Diet is S.A.D. When America exports the dietary principles of S.A.D. to another country, a decline in the health of its people quickly follows. It also holds true for foreigners who immigrate here, as they quickly find out that their health declines and their weight increases when eating as the natives do. In all fairness, America should have signs at its entry borders that warn of the risks that go with adopting our S.A.D. lifestyle.

Using the government’s Body Mass Index (BMI) standard, a calculation based on height and weight, over 66% of Americans are overweight and 34% are obese. If current trends continue, by 2015, it’s estimated that 75% of American adults will be overweight or obese. By 2030, that estimate increases to more than 86 percent of adults, and by 2048, well let’s just say that finding a normal weight person will be like finding a needle in a haystack. The BMI standard isn’t without just criticism, as other body measurements are not considered. When considering the overall trend, however, it’s obvious that Americans are getting fatter and the associated illnesses and healthcare costs that accompany this trend are also on the rise.

Being overweight increases our risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, cancer, liver and gall bladder disease, osteoarthritis, infertility, and various other related diseases and conditions. All of these are signs of lifestyle mismanagement, not medication deficiencies.

I imagine that a pharmaceutical company’s Board of Directors looks upon America’s sedentary lifestyle and standard diet much in the same way that a cannibal looks upon a newly caught fat missionary prior to feasting. Their gains are now our gains.

The pharmaceutical industry continues to propagate the philosophy of there’s nothing wrong with us. It’s not our fault. It’s just genetics, hormones, and other uncontrollable dysfunctions in our bodies that they will soon have a drug for. So, don’t worry, keep eating. For heaven’s sake, there’s no need to deprive your self of anything. Eat! You’ve earned it. Eat! You deserve it. Eat! It’s the holidays. Eat, eat, eat!

President-Elect Barack Obama keeps reminding us that we need to prepare ourselves for making sacrifices in order to correct the excesses of the past. This applies as much to our diet and lifestyle choices as much as it does to the economy. If sacrifices are to be made, then we can choose to sacrifice stupidity for wisdom. We can live up to our potential and leave behind the excuses and reasons for not taking care of ourselves.

Over half of Americans lead a sedentary lifestyle. The current government recommendation calls for 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week. I have always thought that the government usually gets it half-right. Exercising 60 minutes 5 days a week is probably even better. Start where you are and go from there. Leave the “have to do it/be it/have it now” attitude behind. Evolve your desires to allow for gradual progress to have its impact.

In his book “What May Be” Piero Ferrucci states, “You must not follow your feelings. Your feelings must follow you.” We must begin to exhibit an emotional intelligence that directs our food choices. We must eat with a conscious awareness of how wish we to transform our bodies, for our bodies are transforming from moment-to-moment whether we like it or not. How it transforms can be up to us.

So as Thanksgiving approaches, I believe that it’s time to be thankful for the abundance and opportunities that we have as Americans. It’s time to invest in ourselves and our future. We can create something remarkable with our lives and share our life stories with others. We can be a nation of everyday heroes, ordinary people living extra-ordinary lives.

As an old adage states, “If not now, when? If not me, who?”

Sublingual B-12

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Meet Hester - a TriVita Member since 2003. She’s had such a positive experience with TriVita Sublingual B-12 that she’s taking her message to family, friends and colleagues at work.

Name: Hester

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Age: 70

Status: Single

Occupation: Full-time employee with Honeywell Corporation

Favorite Products:

  • Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid
  • OmegaPrime
  • Vitamin C

Product Story:

Hester is 70 years young – and she’s as peppy as the Energizer bunny. “I attribute my good health and energy to God, my parents and Sublingual B-12,” she emphasizes. “I may just have to double up on my B-12 to finish all the projects I’ve started.” She has also added TriVita Vitamin C and OmegaPrime to her nutrition regimen.

Like so many other people Hester first heard about Sublingual B-12 back in 2003 when she tuned in to a TriVita infomercial. She was impressed with the credibility of co-hosts, James and Betty Robison and Dr. Scott Conard. “I was definitely the perfect candidate for Vitamin B-12,” Hester says. “I was feeling tired and once I started taking TriVita Sublingual B-12 I noticed a big difference in both my focus and energy levels.”

Then she made a mistake she soon regretted. Hester quit taking Sublingual B-12 for a while and started feeling tired and droopy all over again. “I was convinced once and for all about the value of Sublingual B-12,” Hester explains. “Sublingual B-12 clarifies my mind. When I stopped taking it I felt a difference… almost like a brain fog was enveloping me. Now I’m back on track with Sublingual B-12 and I feel much better.”

Referring Activity:

“Everybody asks what my secret is,” Hester says. “I’m not shy about telling them about Sublingual B-12 and what it does for me. I’ve been able to get family and friends and colleagues at work interested in TriVita products. My son is totally sold on Adaptogen 10 Plus and wants to take it regularly. It’s only natural that if you like something you want to tell people
about it.”

Lose Weight USA - Weight Loss Capsules

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Many people are searching for quick and effective weight loss. They want to drop countless pounds in a matter of a week and they want to keep it off permanently. Well, quick weight loss is a very challenging process and it requires just the right type of motivation. don’t expect too much at once; that is why the most important thing is setting realistic goals. Given that each pound of fat equals 3,500 calories, you need to be realistic about how many calories you can burn in one day.

Once you have figured out how many calories you want to burn daily, you need to set up a healthy diet plan and an exercise routine for weight loss. Your diet should include all of the necessary food groups because your body needs a lot of nutrients every day. Try consuming more fruit, vegetables, whole grains, protein, lean meats, fiber, and fat-free dairy. Dieting is not really about restricting yourself from majority of foods, it is about portion control. You can still have most of the foods you love, but in moderation. Try having smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. Some foods you should stay away from include fast foods and other foods that are high in fat. This can be especially tricky if you frequently visit local restaurants. It is much better to eat at home and if you decide to eat out, stick with diet friendly meals (which most restaurants have).

And if you are still having problems with your appetite, there are certain all supplements which can help in suppressing your appetite. The Leanology capsules have made quite an impact on people who were struggling with appetite control. So as you can see, with the right motivation and goals, weight loss can be quick and effective.
