What a strange world we live in many people are out of work and looking for jobs even seeking to make money online but are they really interested in Work.
I ask this question for two reason, I have watched a program "Fairy Jobmother" where a woman spends a week with along term unemployed family trying to get them back on their feet. They often have huge depts but would rather spend the days watching TV or lazing around the house rather than actively banging on doors.
Recently two people joined my online business and before they signed up i spent some time explaining what I required of them if they wanted to succeed. So they spent some money and did nothing expecting that some think magic would happen. I chased one up when he missed a planned appointment and his excuse was I have been out partying I will start tomorrow one week later he still must be partying if that's his priority he is heading nowhere.
The second guy is out of work, but once again not prepared to take action, does not answers calls or respond to messages. maybe I am different, if someone offered to help me build my business I would accept it with open arms, maybe its something to do with the age difference
I have written before about dragging a horse to water and struggling to make it drink, it actually happened to me many years ago in North East Brazil, we later had to abandon our horses and walk
Maybe I am harsh with my assessment but I know it those the people with fire in their bellies bellies who are successfully and it is better to spend time with people who have the will to succeed rather than those that think it might be nice to have more money

Team work
I can't remember who first coined the phase "Teamwork makes the Dream work" but John Maxwell has written a book with that title.
Billionaire Ed Mercer who has a new goal to create 100 new millionaires is very impressed with the team work being displayed in the 100 millionaires club and told the members of the club recently that he had never seen anything like the group of entrepreneurs who are selflessly working together so that every one has the chance to become millionaire.
It is refreshing for the people involved to know that they have 24/7 support from around the world that can back them up in times of illness and holidays and the like. I know from when I was working full time there was nothing worse than returning from a period of absence to a desk ladened with work, it really takes the off the best vacation.
I regularly use my fellow team members to help build my business, discuss and share what is working what is not working and sharing ideas for the future.
Many people wrongly classify what Ed is doing as just another online business but it's far more than that. The majority of networking opportunities are based on MLM structures where basically many so called sponsors get you in take your money and often you never see or hear from them again. You are advised to direct people usually your friends to a website and magically people will join your business. well I am sorry folks it doesn't work like that. when if ever did you have a so called sponsor put one of his recruits into your business for your benefit?
You need to build a relationship with your prospect, they need to know you are a real person who will help them in time of need. Prospect are genuinely surprised when I call just to say hello and confirm that I am ready to guide them so that they can listen and if they and speak to Ed Mercer in Person.

What do you expect from your business
Many people are looking to the Internet to help maintain their lifestyle, especially with the financial Crisis which is effecting many areas of the world/ the Internet is often perceived as the place to make money fast and it can be be but there are many scams that need to be avoided.
Like any business it will take time to get into profit and you need to allow for this. you also need to realise that you will need to put in time effort and money in order to build your business, you may have to do some task that you don't like such as speaking with people.
I personally hate the phone but know that this is the best way to communicate with potential customers and customers are the key to the growth of your business.
Far to many people believe all they have to do is direct people to a website and the money will come in, or else entice someone to join their opportunity and sit back and enjoy the profit, which is why MLM has such a bad reputation. If fact most if not all MLM are administered in such as way that if you do not put in the effort you will not be rewarded and it its not uncommon to discover that people below you are earning more than you because they are putting in more time and effort into their business. I believe that is quite fair.
You must be knowledgeable about your business and the products you sell, would you purchase a car from a car sales who does not drive? You should also use the products that you sell if you do not do this your potential customers will think theres is something wrong.
A number of people will ask you how your business is going and here you need to be truthful, if you have just started out no one expects you to be in profit. everyone knows that times are hard. so long as you have a plan that will put you in profit share it with other potential prospects.
Yesterday a prospect said he did not have enough money to join my business so I asked him if he could afford $50 a month and showed him a way that by retailing what he purchased he could start building capital to invest in his business, it might take more time to reach his goal but he would be making progress along the road to success.

Focus on your business
Building an online business is not an easy task, you can have the best mentor in the world but unless you follow their advice and concentrate on the business in hand you will struggle. Yes it is hard work but if you expect it to produce money for no effort you could be in for a long wait.
If you are prepared to put in time and money into a project you will create more money. Some people also need to have conventional jobs in order to support their family needs and this can create a dilemma. where do they focus their effort.
A salaried job will produce the same amount of money no matter how much time and effort you put in and is a safe option. Working for yourself is a risk, there is no safety net of money coming in at the end of the month.
A combination of the two is the most common route to start building a home based business, but one need to remember to set aside time for your new venture and treat it as a business not a hobby. If you do not work at it it will wither and die.
So how can you improve the odds of success, well all businesses needs customers or leads they are the lifeblood of business and need to be treated like seed corn and nurtured to produce income. You must set aside at least one hour everyday, that 7 hours a week this is the minimum investment for your future. It's not asking much, you probably spend more time watching soaps and since when did TV make you money.
Some year ago I worked with a group Make Money Not Excuses and that saying is true today. you need to associate with like minded people, people with the same goal who you can turn to for advice and who will help you reach your goal.

Mindset of a Millionaire
I have written about goals in the past and as you are developing your business you will probably have a number of goals however you need to ensure that they are all taking you in the direction of you main goal.
Some people get diverted and may even consider a totally new project this will confuse your mind and slow down success. People talk about multitasking, which is great provided that each task leads to your goal. you can only have one main goal.
For example my main goal is to become a millionaire by December 2014, however recently I have needed to spend more time than planned on moving to Cyprus. But Cyprus offers, a better environment and better communications in which to build my business, where people have more money, in spite of European financial problems compared with the Philippines where I live at the moment.
This short term goal will be completed in April and I am already building new contacts on the Island and working in others way to develop my business.
Whatever I do for the next two years is leading me in one direction only towards my main goal and I will only consider things that lead me in that direction - Financial Freedom.

Working with a Mentor
People often ask what are the advantages of working with a mentor such as Ed Mercer and the answer is that you can draw on their experience and knowledge to achieve your own goals. Leads are the lifeblood for all business and are generally the result of marketing campaigns. If you start a new MLM business, you are told to start building a list of friends and family and other people you know and to be honest this is where most people fail, because you do not have the knowledge to overcome any questions your friends might have. One way around this is to get someone else to talk to your leads.
Now I am working with Billionaire Ed Mercer and he has made himself available on the phone to to answer any query regarding his 100 Millionaires project, that my leads might have and I do not think you can have better support than that.
When you have run out of people you know its time to move on and develop your own leads perhaps by building your own lead capture pages to peak peoples interest or else purchasing leads. SEO and Social Marketing Traditional SEO is beginning to lose its influence as Google adjusts its algorithms and starts to pay more attention to social marketing via Twitter, Facebook and Google +, I think the future is clear, business needs to make better use of social marketing, however using applications such as Facebook is not easy for business, because there is a lot of social chat and I think it will fade away in the future like Myspace, to be replaced by something better.
Business hubs and networks are growing and developing online as a way to present and share business with a wider market and the Internet is also seeing increase use from bricks and mortar business for advertising as traditional adverting in newspapers and magazines is failing to deliver as people now use phones and tablet on a regular basis and create mobile Apps.
Good content will always be rewarded and one way to do this is to blog on a regular basis and build a following making good use of forums and social networks to share and comment on areas that you are involved with.

What are you you must have advertising/marketing tools that you use on a regular basis and how much are you prepared to pay for them.
Most people have their favourite tools such as Aweber for auto responders and Goto meeting for online meeting and webinar. Some people like to purchase domain names from one company and host with another, others use free hosting.
SEO consultancy services are important for some companies who may not have the time or resources to develop good search engine result strategies for their websites. There are some sites such as IBOtoolbox which offer free social marking and blogging and advertising services were subscribers can earn points which can be converted into advertising.
I myself prefer to pay for a complete suite of tools which are designed to work together but then I pay $55 a month for the privilege, about the same amount I would pay to use Aweber and Goto meeting. I believe I am getting great value for money, unlimited autoresponders ,webinar room. training,hosting including a dozen aged domains where I can add subdomains, an integrated social marketing and blogging systems incorporating smart RSS feed and more.

How serious are you
Many people love the idea of earning serious money from the Internet but it takes a special kind of person to be successful. You first of all need to research the market for a product or service that people use on a regular basis. the more people that use a particular product the easier it is to sell. You also have need to ensure that you have a good method of marketing the product. Traditionally products are sold face to face, so people can touch and feel and ask questions. If you are trying to sell online this can present some challenges because you do not necessarily know what questions your potential customer will raise and you are not present to provide the answer.
Videos can provide a good method of passing on information but at the end of the day you need to speak with your potential customer and this is where people often fail. Yes some people are borne to make sales, they have the gift of the gab but for lesser mortals it can be an uncomfortable time. You need to know your product and the best way is to use it yourself and share your experience.
Some companies will provide sales scripts to guide you through the process of a sale and these you can adjust to fit in with your personality and the way you want to work. Yes there will be times when you are starting out where a potential customer asks a question to which you do not have an answer. Do not get flustered be truthful and say that you will get back to them.
One thing you need to be aware of is making false claims especially in places such as the USA where you can run the risk of prosecution for using statement which includes word such as "cure". If you are working as a distributor for a company spend some time checking out testimonials and research document, you will find they use words such as "could" and "may".
Once you are prepared its time to take action and speak to people and never be scared of if people say No not everyone will want what you are selling. Many years ago I sold products door to door and it was with trepidation that you approached the first few doors, but one soon got into the swing of things and as you relaxed sales began to flow. One tip I would give is never pre judge people often you best customer will come from an unlikely source.

Turning Failure into Success
Did you know that 85% of small businesses fail in their first year and the two main reasons are lack of experience and insufficient capital. If you have considered starting your own business you will no doubt have searched online and come across many thousand of opportunities. some are good, some are bad and others just rip offs to get you money. So how do you choose, well look at the main causes of failure.
What kind of experience do you have that can build a business, if you are a salesperson them maybe select something in sales and marketing, or maybe you have a talent that can be turned into a business, you can make or sell online. You could consider an MLM but you need to research them thoroughly and they can be quite restrictive in what you do.
Next how much money do you have to invest and this is in my opinion where many fail. Every business needs money to start off, so take off your list all the so called opportunities that are on offer for free. The other fact is that the more money you lay out to start of the more you will be committed to make your business work. Most people can spend $50-100 and not even miss it so they are not bothered about success or failure. At the other end a franchise business will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars and you will work hard to get a return on your investment over a number of years until you are in profit.
Now times are hard at the moment and I would suggest you choose a conservative mode. If you are serious you need to raise around $5,000 to building your business. You can build success, it is money you cannot afford to lose, so your are more likely to take your business seriously and do what ever it is you need to do to be successful. You probably do not want to commit the full amount initially but hold some back to cover contingencies.
Getting started is always difficult, it part of the challenge of living, you need to remain focussed on you goals and as you start earning money feed some back to continue growing your business. It also helps to mix with other successful people, for some reason some of their success rubs off on you.

Have you ever wondered why the human race can speak, well it is so we can clearly communicate with one another both socially and in business. Good verbal communication can greatly increase business success. One only has to look at the growth of mobile phones and tablet PC's which enhance communications no matter where you are.
Business communications is best done face to face, as it not only allows you to talk and listen but also provides feedback information on who people look and react during questions and answers. To some extend VOIP videoconferencing has extended what i regard as the prime mode of communications when building a better home based business.
Face to face communications also allow you to hand over and share documents during meetings and again get instant feed back ,if you send information by email, chat or SMS you cannot be sure that anyone reads it.
there is a definite art in attracting people to a capture page when advertising your business it must have the best mix of information and text so nowadays many business use video's to promote what they are doing and then provide a form for interested people to receive more information.
Many business's use autoresponders to reply to queries, however once again there is no way of knowing if the message will get through or even read, so the most successful way is to call the person on the phone and speak to them in person. this may take a lot of time when people have voicemails systems, so one may use other tools such as SMS if the call is to a mobile or even using Skype VOIP system where one can connect and send chat messages as well. but at the end of the day using the phone will always have the best result.

You cant live on Enough
When you ask people how much money they want to earn quite often they will reply with just enough to live on. The problem at the moment is living costs are increasing and wages are not keeping pace so your standard of living is falling.
Occasionally you meet someone who has a dream, I spoke with one yesterday and this is what he said :-
You know.. Someone to have faith in me in these horrible times.. If I coulda taken out a loan I would have for college (that's why I'm not going college this year cuz financial problems) but I still hold fast to my dream because someday I will accomplish it. But I have no one who will see what I can do. People just look at my past and see that I'm not worth their time.. Just like the scholarship committees..
I'm not looking for a hand out.. I just need a little help.. I will pay them monthly. Well a small pay.. But cuz I work at an elementary skool and they don't pay much" Now here is a person who has a dream and belief that he is in this world to make a difference. Marketing your Business Yesterday I attended a webinar from T. Harv Eker, about the changing face of business as it seems that you need to choose carefully what you do, and aim to make money in five years and then sell and move on. This is a completely new mindset for me as I have looked to taking up to 3 years to make a profit, whereas the trend now is to return a profit within the first year.
One important aspect is the need to fully understand the business and opportunity you are going to promote and advertise, you can no longer rely on copy and pasting company provided sales pages to do your online selling you have to write your own advertising copy.
Many people do not know where to start, if you ask them to write about their business, so I generally recommend they start by writing about themselves and why they became involved with the business they are promoting. Having introduced themselves with one or two posts, they then need to start writing about the products and services they are providing.
One way to do this is to take the stock sales page and then rewrite it taking out the hype and buy now pitches and just supply one link in the signature area. As knowledge of their business grows they can expand into other areas, like providing answers to some common questions or features of their products.
You need to put yourself in the place of a potential customer what kind of questions do they have, what goes into products, what are the main features of your service, how does using the product or service benefit your customers.

Marketing your Business I do not know what it is about Internet marketing but the same questions are repeated time and time again in various forums about items such as back linking and no matter what answers are given, the question is raised again and again.
I have come to the conclusion that very few people are interested in the answers, perhaps they post to the forums to get backlinks.
When someone asks me for help in marketing their business I usually start with a test project. I discuss with them how they are marketing, what kind of keywords they are targeting and then show them two tools which I use every day a classified site and a simple web page builder. I then ask them to create 1,000 classified ads and 500 single webpages to promote their business
The creative writing project needs to be completed for the following reasons.
Some people are gifted and able to write thousands of words on a subject, but most can't. I for one like normally like to write as few words as possible, but this approach does not work when you are writing for the Internet. Few people will read your beautiful crafted classified ad, so do not try selling or use pictures, what you need to do is provide information in answer to what people are searching for. Now search engine spiders are avid readers and will follow all your links seeking more information, the better the quality of the content, the more often they will return and the higher your site will rank.
One method I use is to precis an article or document, rewriting it in my own words, some people use spinning software to rewrite information but I prefer to avoid this as you tend not to read the article so you are not learning yourself. As time passes you will often discover that a news or article headline will be just the thing that will spark your creative writing for your next blog.
